Anthropologie is a subsidiary of Urban Outfitters- both equally expensive brands.

However, if you’re looking for a little way to treat yourself, you can get $20 on a regularly priced purchase at Anthropologie just by signing up for their free rewards program.

Keep reading for more information on how to get this reward, when it will show up, and how to use it.

How To Get a Free $20 Reward from Anthropologie

It’s no secret that Anthropologie is expensive. I find it more fun shopping somewhere that makes my dollar stretch farther, like TJ Maxx. However, this $20 reward hack helped me purchase two items from Anthropologie for only $1.53. You can't make a dollar stretch much further than that when shopping these days!

So, how do you get a free $20 reward from the brand? By signing up for their rewards program, AnthroPerks.

Anthro Perks is a free loyalty program that rewards customers with special insider savings.

After signing up, make sure to subscribe to their marketing emails. If you’re not subscribed, you’ll miss out on your $20 coupon.

When Does the $20 Anthropologie Sign-Up Bonus Arrive?

The $20 reward coupon will not appear automatically. The company states that customers will receive the reward by email the first week of the following month after signing up.

I signed up in February 2025, and March 1st was a Saturday. I assumed the reward would arrive on Monday, March 3rd- but I was wrong. The coupon did not arrive until March 7th, at the end of the first week on Friday

I missed it when mine first arrived. Gmail flagged Anthropologie’s emails as promotional and thus did not place them in my regular inbox. I had given up on getting the reward until I decided to check the promotions tab last minute. Lo and behold, there it was.

So, the moral of the story is always check the promotional/spam tabs in your email account.

How To Use The $20 Anthropologie Welcome Reward

In the email, you’ll find a unique code of letters and numbers to use when you checkout. The code is usable for both in-store/in-person or online shopping.

The reward is good on almost anything. The exception? Clearance or sale items. This fact made me a little sad. Many other reward programs allow you to use the rewards on clearance items, but ultimately it’s the decision of each company whether or not to allow that. Anthropologie only lets you use rewards on full-price purchases.

But there’s no need to fret just yet. While you won’t get super high-quality items at a great bargain with this coupon, you can still use it to your advantage. I found an adorable pen pouch that attaches to the front of a notebook for $16.00. I added a pack of make-up remover wipes for $5 to my cart, making my total $21 before tax or shipping.

After applying the $20 coupon to my cart, my total became $1.53 (tax included). Standard U.S. shipping costs $6.95, so the total purchase is $8.48.

A similar notebook pen pouch on Amazon costs an average of $8, so this still seems like a decent deal.

Picking up the product in-store/ship-to-store would save you more by cutting the shipping cost.

Final Thoughts

I still think Anthropologie is overpriced. However, it’s a nice gesture to offer this as a sign-up bonus. I wish they did something similar for birthdays.

The birthday reward for AnthroPerks members is only a 20% off coupon, which would not save you all that much. You could utilize this as a birthday coupon if you sign up the month before your birthday!

I listed my favorite retailers that give the best birthday bargains so you can celebrate with even more great deals.
