Stuff Your Kindle Day is usually held by indie authors to promote their books by giving away free ebooks for 24 hours. Today (January 28) 1000 books are sitting on digital shelves waiting for you to explore- and you get to keep however many you want for free, no strings attached!
What Genres Are Available?
Today’s event (#romancebookblast), hosted by romancebooklovers.com, is focused on romance books and includes all available sub-genres. You will find fantasy to contemporary, historical to science fiction, and all that falls in between.
There are various sections on the website, making it easy to browse. There’s even a section strictly dedicated to clean and wholesome romance books!
The other sections have clean, spice-free novels, but you’ll need to read more about them to figure it out. To find out what might be inside each novel, read the little blurbs beside the book covers on the romancebooklovers.com listings. It will most likely have if it’s spicy and includes troupes- we all love a good troupe. *Insert chef's kiss*
Will Popular BookTok Books be Available?
Since these events celebrate indie authors, you won’t find popular novels, but you may find a hidden gem that becomes your next new favorite read!

How to Get the Free Books
To get the free books from #romancebookblast, all you have to do is:
Browse the romancebooklovers.com listings and choose a book
Click on the Amazon or universal link to download!
Click “Buy Now” after making sure the book is free. If using Amazon to download the book, don’t click on the top button for Kindle Unlimited unless you want to sign up for that subscription. Clicking on Kindle Unlimited will sign you up for that paid service through Amazon, and thus, the books won’t technically be free or be yours to keep forever.
When on Amazon, click the “Buy now with 1-Click” button and not “Read for Free” to avoid signing up for Kindle Unlimited.

Libby App
Amazon Prime members have access to Amazon Prime Reading in their membership. This service is not the same as Kindle Unlimited. It’s very similar to utilizing your local library- but less options and fewer popular titles since those are reserved for KU subscribers.
Amazon Prime members can choose one or two free ebooks (varies by month) through their Amazon First Reads program! There is no extra charge and you get to keep the books.

Stuff Your Kindle happens throughout the year. So, even if you missed today's event, you will have other chances.
Alpharoll Day, another romance-focused Stuff Your Kindle is happening on March 4th, 2025.
There is also a Thriller-themed book blast, but no future date has been announced yet.
Cozy Mysteries Book Blast happens quarterly, so I expect it to happen sometime in late April.
